The prize of the prizes
Hotel classifications can only provide a rough overview of standards. But all written information cannot deliver the feeling during a stay to be someone really special. The World Hotel Award therefore goes only to hotels and resorts which do not only fulfil those standards but in addition embrace us with a feeling to be in the most beautiful spot in the world.


No other hotel prize sets such high competition criteria. Already today the World Hotel Award is regarded as ”The Prize of the Prizes“ in the environment of the travel world.



Rating and Participation
Every year we ask celebrities, opinion leaders and frequent travellers about their favourite hotels. The answers will be evaluated and multiple responses will be nominated. Hotels can also apply for the World Hotel Award. Application forms with an indication of the category will be available under awardworld-hotel-awardcom.


For us it is really important to have an independent opinion. So the participation to the World Hotel Award is free.


We evaluate a Hotel or a Resort with a point system in 8 different categories with a maximum score of 2000 points.



The Symbol
The symbol for the World Hotel Award is the unicorn. An unicorn stands for the World Hotel Award. Very often in fairy-tales unicorns are seen as the fairest and purest creatures. These attributes are part of the World Hotel Award criteria. The fairy-tales tell also that an unicorn lives as a maverick in forests and protects this environment.
